Fundraising Non-Profit Internship

The Scar Healing Project (TSHP) is a non-profit organization that provides scar tissue release therapy for veterans and other focus groups, scaling up to offer solutions for all those suffering from scarring. We’re on the lookout for a passionate Fundraising intern to join our non-profit organization.

This position is an excellent opportunity to work with an international humanitarian organization and gain experience in fundraising for community and corporate events.

You will use strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with supporters as well as supporting the administrative tasks of the Events and Community Team. This unpaid internship can be used for college credit where applicable.

Duties and responsibilities

• Create fundraising campaigns
• Organize fundraising campaigns with volunteers
• Research content for and draft email blasts to donors, supporters, and other interested parties
• Research grant opportunities and prepare and submit applications

Preferred qualifications

• Current enrollment in a related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Understand and actively use social media platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

Research Assistant Non-Profit Internship

The Scar Healing Project (TSHP) is a non-profit organization that provides scar tissue release therapy for veterans and other people who experience scar-related limitations. We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic Research Assistant intern to join our non-profit organization.

You will be responsible for assisting in a variety of research-related tasks under the supervision of a regular faculty member conducting the research. This unpaid internship can be used for college credit where applicable.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare resources, equipment, and materials for research
• Document results in support of various research activities

Marketing and Communications Non-Profit Internship

The Scar Healing Project (TSHP) is a non-profit organization that provides scar tissue release therapy and clinics for veterans and others with scar-related limitations. We’re looking for a driven Marketing and Communications intern to join our non-profit organization.

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to assist TSHP administration team in developing a social media and public relations strategy. This role will be instrumental in increasing awareness of TSHP through various media platforms and positively promoting the charity to improve our recruitment, event attendance and overall local visibility.

The intern will have the opportunity to work alongside other team members to provide creative input into the PR strategy development. This unpaid internship can be used for college credit where applicable.

Duties and responsibilities

• Update and maintain social media sites including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube
• Create and execute mass email campaigns
• Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

Preferred qualifications

• Current enrollment in a related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g., CRM tools, online analytics and Google Adwords)

Clinic Assistant Non-Profit Internship

The Scar Healing Project (TSHP) is a non-profit organization that offers scar tissue release therapy and free clinics for veterans and other individuals with scar-related limitations. We’re looking for a passionate Clinic Assistant intern to join our non-profit organization.

The Clinic Assistant intern will assist the clinic with administrative tasks including research data entry. This unpaid internship can be used for college credit where applicable.

Duties and responsibilities

• Keep track of data and documents received
• Input collected data into an electronic spreadsheet or database
• Ensure accuracy of all data entered and make corrections where necessary

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
