Non-profit organization job opening: Clinic Coordinator
The Scar Healing Project is looking for a Clinic Coordinator for our scar tissue release therapy clinics. Join our non-profit organization as we help patients recover and change how the world approaches scar rehabilitation.
Our Clinic Coordinator must have excellent organizational and administrative skills. The Clinic Coordinator is expected to be a decisive leader with superb time management and record-keeping skills.
This professional should be a confident and professional administrator with fantastic communication and IT skills to ensure the efficient day-to-day activities of the clinics. They should be capable of working comfortably under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and able to react to emergency situations effectively.
Clinic Coordinator Responsibilities
• Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations
• Implement policy and procedures throughout the clinics
• Evaluate personnel and prepare daily reports
• Assist with recruitment, consenting, screening, and enrollment of personnel
• Employ financial acumen in budgeting and expenditure
• Authorize admissions and treatment as per agreed protocols
• Ensure that stock and supply levels are adequate and orders are placed on time
• Communicate therapy results to patients under clinical supervision
• Sterilize instruments in accordance with OSHA requirements
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of patient visits
• Coordinate patient care plans by liaising with all necessary care providers and medical professionals to ensure patient needs are met
• Use computer software to admit and discharge volunteers and coordinate follow-up forms (research questionnaires)
• Work to create efficient systems and workflows within the clinic
• Attend departmental meetings and stay up-to-date on all business initiatives related to the clinic
• Collect and input volunteer data into the computer system
• Meet with volunteers and their families to ensure their needs are met and resolve any issues or complaints that arise
Scar tissue treatment Clinic Coordinator requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field experience (essential)
• Current CPR certification (required)
• Two years of experience in a clinical setting
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD, and CPT coding (highly advantageous)
• Demonstrate an understanding of standard clinical procedures, laws, and regulations
• Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask
• Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills

The Administrative Coordinator is a support position, meaning that communications and decision-making are paramount. A few specific skills that all administrative coordinators should possess include:

Responsibilities
• Delegating tasks and ensuring that they are completed in accordance with existing policies and procedures

The Scar Healing Project is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator. Join our non-profit organization as we help scar patients heal holistically, conduct research to expand our therapy services, and shed light on a new approach to rehabilitating scar tissue.
The Clinical Research Coordinator will plan, direct, and coordinate clinical research projects for our scar tissue release therapy clinics. You will direct the activities of staff engaged in clinical research projects to ensure compliance with protocols and overall clinical objectives. You may also evaluate and analyze clinical data.
Job duties and tasks
Participate in preparation and management of research budgets and monetary disbursements.
Inform patients or caregivers about study aspects and expected outcomes.
Code, evaluate, or interpret collected study data.
Monitor study activities to ensure compliance with protocols and with all
relevant local, federal, and state regulatory and institutional policies.
Maintain required records of study activity including case report forms, or regulatory forms.
Communicate with laboratories or investigators regarding findings.
Solicit industry-sponsored trials through contacts and professional organizations.
Direct the requisition, collection, labeling, storage, or shipment of specimens.
Review scientific literature, participate in continuing education activities, or attend conferences and seminars to maintain current knowledge of clinical studies affairs and issues.
Register protocol volunteers with appropriate statistical centers as required.
Prepare for or participate in quality assurance audits conducted by study sponsors, federal agencies, or specially designated review groups.
Perform specific protocol procedures such as interviewing subjects.

The Scar Healing Project is looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our non-profit organization as a part-time Bookkeeper. Work with an organization committed to making our holistic approach to healing scar tissue accessible to patients everywhere.
The bookkeeper will oversee our scar tissue release therapy non-profit organization’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
You will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. You will also assist with basic duties like new hire documents, compliance, temporary disability insurance, and workers’ compensation filings.

The Scar Healing Project is looking for Clinic therapists to join our non-profit organization. Work with a team that is dedicated to providing understanding, respectful, and holistic support for patients with scarring, helping them achieve a better quality of life.
• Provide 120-minute STRAIT Method™ sessions to volunteers at the clinic
• Guide volunteers through service offerings and determine which scar tissue release therapy would benefit them most
• Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions
• Evaluate volunteers to determine painful or stressed areas of the body
• Advise volunteers on stretching, strengthening, or relaxation methods
• Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire
• Conduct research surveys
Qualifications
• Completed STRAIT Method™ Clinical certification training for scar tissue treatment
• Must hold a current massage, nursing, physical or occupational therapy certification or license
• Experience working in clinical settings
