TAKE THE FIRST STEP TOWARD PAIN-FREE LIVING!

The Issue

Whether you wear your scars proudly or see them as painful reminders, they can impact every system in your body, and every aspect of your life. They represent a part of your journey, your path to healing, but they don’t have to shape how you live in the present day.

Your scars may cause chronic pain, stiffness, limited mobility, or any of a whole host of other symptoms. It’s time for you to have the opportunity to work with professionals who understand your unique experience. You deserve to know that your pain is valid, that there are treatments out there to improve your quality of life. It’s why we are taking a new approach to scar healing.

Childhood scars can have a lifelong physiological and psychological impact, so they deserve careful attention during the recovery process. At The Scar Healing Project, we have seen how scar tissue treatment can transform and heal patients like you, and we are inspired to share our knowledge with the world.

How We Can Help

We use the STRAIT Method™ – or Scar Tissue Release and Integrated Therapies – to support your path to healing, releasing scar tissue and rehabilitating the body so you can live a happier life. We are establishing free clinics that can be replicated anywhere, so more people can access our holistic form of treatment for scarring and adhesions, and receive the understanding they deserve.

Our clinics also gather data to demonstrate the efficacy of our method in alleviating severe pain so we can continue to spread awareness and help more people heal.

Changing lives one scar at a time

Our Mission

We are on a mission to minimize the pain and dysfunction that your scarring causes through education and our innovative treatment for scar tissue. We envision a future where scar tissue release is at the forefront of therapy, taking on an integral role in your healing process. We believe that one day, doctors and therapists everywhere will understand how to treat scar tissue and the long-lasting benefits scar work can have on your health and well-being, incorporating it into the treatments they offer.
About us

Our Clinics

We are establishing various clinics with the initial focus of helping veterans release scar tissue. This project will continue to develop and expand to offer improved rehabilitation for people across the whole range of human experiences.

Our goal is to extend this service in the future to serve all people with scar tissue. We have plans to help breast cancer patients, people with scarring from C-sections and other surgeries, and burn survivors.

A Revolutionary New Scar Tissue Release Therapy

At The Scar Healing Project, we work to eliminate barriers and help you access a holistic form of scar tissue release therapy. We’re a non-profit organization offering free clinics to guide you along the path to pain relief. Through free training for our dedicated staff and in-depth research, we help people like you receive the treatments they deserve.

Work With Us

The Scar Healing Project has job opportunities and a paid non-profit internship available for professionals who are interested in joining our passionate and growing team. If you are looking for job openings with a non-profit organization, explore our exciting options and find out how you can get involved.

About

We provide free clinics that offer this scar tissue treatment to eliminate barriers between you and the healing you deserve. Our founder, Marjorie Brook, LMT, has spent decades developing better ways to support people suffering with scar tissue-related symptoms. Because of a lack of support in this area, she decided to form The Scar Healing Project to offer relief and help restore quality of life.

Testimonial

I can't say enough good things about The Scar Healing Project in particular. I came in pain and reduced mobility and ended with feeling I had been given a new lease on life. They are professional, yet compassionate. They are very knowledgeable, focused on the individual and does not employ one size fits all solutions. I would and will recommend The Scar Healing Project to anyone needing their services.
